Jim's AGI Log

Third Entry

Yesterday I split the bot structure into a message which is sent as a system message and into an instruction message which is sent as part of the user message.

Some ways in which AI is awesome

First, a summary of the purpose at the moment. GPT-n won't be AGI. It will be used in AGI. My goal is to make the framework that you can plug GPT-n in, where GPT-n is the earliest GPT version capable of AGI, such that it attains AGI.

Second, today's goal: to run an experiment on fixing a bot that is doing poorly at following instructions!

I just had a vision for a user interface powered by xenobots. The user wants to remember some things he thought of as birthday presents for himself. Normally, he would have to search through his files manually (not quite remembering what he called the file, so he can't use an automated search. But because he used xenobots as his file manager, he can just ask his xenofriend to list out the ideas.

Anyway, I have made some progress on the goals I set out in the first entry. I have the xenobots running in a seperate process to the user input. I jsut need to make a simple change and the bots will run without waiting for the user input.

However, if I made that change right now the bot would not really know how to behave. I need to edit the prompt:

Projects are cool things to show its user that are useful or just cool

Today's plan:

I also had an idea to address I worry I've had. The worry is I have only a relatively small limit on API expenditure. The idea is to allow users to use their own API. I've seen this done in the distant past. I jsut need to make sure it's still possible and that there's no way of my prompts leaking.

Also, here's my magic trick to be motivated:

There is purposeThere is not purpose
You work hardGoodNeutral
You do not work hardBadNeutral

Your project is urgent.

Just say no to tiredness and distraction and lack of motivation.

Design yourself a brilliant brain pilot.
